Birkirkara FC on Wednesday were mourning the loss of Youth Academy player Miguel Damato, who passed away due to illness.
In a statement the Premier League club said that they will always remember Damato for his smile and immense love for football.
“The President, Committee, and everyone involved in Birkirkara FC would like to send the condolences to the family and friends of our Youth Academy player, Miguel Damato,” the club said in a statement.
“Miguel will be always remembered in the Youth Academy for his smile and immense love for football. He will be deeply missed by everyone.”
