Sliema Wanderers have announced the signing of Panama defender Oscar Linton.
The 27-year-old is a Panama international and has featured for his country in their last two international matches against Nicaragua and Guatemala respectively.
Linton, whose favourite position is to play at centreback, has spent all his career in his country and was on the books of Atletico Nacional as well as Costa del Este FC.
“We are delighted to announce that current Panama international defender Oscar Linton has joined Sliema Wanderers for the upcoming season,” the Premier League club said in a statement.
“The 27-year-old plays primarily as a centre back, and has featured for the full 90 minutes of Panama’s last two international outings versus Nicaragua and Guatemala respectively.
“Oscar will be joining us from Costa Del Este Fc and this will be his first experience playing in Europe.”
