
Haley Bugeja could not have dreamed of a better debut after she grabbed a brace on her Sassuolo Femminile account in on her Serie A debut.

Sassuolo hosted Napoli Ladies with Bugeja scoring twice to help her side beat the Partenopei 3-1, after the latter had forged ahead.
Bugeja, 16, became available for selection just this week after the transfer paperworks were completed and was immediately deployed from the start by the Sassuolo coach.
The Neroverde have collected four points from their opening two games after their 1-1 draw against Roma and their crushing 4-1 win over Inter.
Haley Bugeja joined Serie A Femminile side Sassuolo Calcio as from the 2020/2021 season after completing the move from Mġarr United.
Ex-Serie A player Gianpiero Piovani is their current coach after a successful spell at Brescia femminile, winning the Italian Super Cup in 2017.
Her first competitive Malta goal was in a January friendly against Turkey before scoring on her Euro 2022 qualifier debut against Georgia. So far, she has collected six caps with two goals.
