Balzan have bolstered their defensive department with the signing of Cypriot player Markos Moustakis.
Moustakis, born in 1999, will be signing with Balzan for one-year loan from Cypriot top-flight club AEL Limassol.
The defender, who can also be used as a defensive midfielder, has most recently been on the books of second-tier club Ypsonas FC. He grew up at AEL but is yet to make a single appearance at senior level with the club.
At international level, Moustakis has 8 caps under his belt with the U-19’s national team with whom he played in the 2017 UEFA U-19’s Euro qualifiers against Croatia, Montenegro and Faroe Islands. He scored one goal in a 2-1 defeat against Armenia, in an international friendly three years ago.
