Balzan FC continued to implement their transfer strategy of recruiting young talented overseas players when they announced the signing of Chinese attacking midfielder Will Donkin.
The 19-year-old English-born player moves to the Premier League club on a one-year deal with an option of a further year.
The Chinese-Taipei international started his career with the youth academy of Barnet before moving to Chelsea’s Academy in 2011-12. He stayed with the Blues until 2016 when he headed to Crystal Palace and played for the club’s U-18 side.
Last year, Donkin headed to Norway where he joined top club Stabaek.
During his career, Donkin has already amassed 18 appearances with the Chinese Taipei national team.
