
Malta’s professional snooker player Alex Borg is flying to the UK tomorrow to compete in the first tournaments of this season’s World Snooker Main Tour.
Due to the present situation, for now, all tournaments of the World Snooker Tour will be played at the MK Stadium, Milton Keynes in UK.
Borg’s first tournament will be the European Masters which started on Monday and goes on until Sunday, September 27.
In the first round, Borg will play Chinese player Lyu Haotian. This match is scheduled for this Wednesday at 3.30pm (Malta time) and will be played over the best of 9 frames.
On October 5, Borg will play in the Championship League which started last week.
Borg’s opponents in the group include current world champion Ronnie O’Sullivan.
The other players are Li hang, of China, and Julian Boiko, of Ukraine.
These three matches will be played on the same day and will be over four frames.
The winner of the group will qualify to the final stages which will be played between October 26 and 30.
