Maltese sailor Richard Schulteis continued to impress abroad when he bagged another win in an international regatta in Italy.
After his impressive victory in the 29er division at the Euro Cup in Kiel, Germany, earlier this month, the young Malta Young Sailing club sailor headed to Italy where he took part in the Foiling Week.
This time, Richard Schulteis and his sister Victoria engaged in the Waszps division.
In this division, the participants compete with a very fast boat which is very difficult to sail with on the water.
After the first-day of competition saw no racing due to a lack of wind, the participants still managed to compete in 11 races in the next three days, facing different wind conditions.
However, Richard and his sister Victoria again showed their great qualities with an impressive display.
Richard Schulteis managed to win the division when he topped the standings with 17 net points.
The Maltese sailor finished ahead of Italian sailor Emanuele Savoini (23 net points) and his fellow compatriot Francesco Bertone (35 net points).
Victoria Schulteis ended her commitments in a commendable fifth place when totalling 50 net points.
