Tarxien Rainbows’ next two matches, on Wednesday against Floriana and Saturday against Hamrun Spartans, have been postponed due to covid-19 issues according to a Malta Football Association (MFA) statement on Tuesday.
Both matches will be rescheduled to a later date leaving the struggling side to play catch up, heading into the winter break. It was established that a number of positive covid-19 cases have been found within the side.
This also means current champions Floriana will also have to recover two match days following the re-scheduling of Match Day 7 against Birkirkara. The latter fixture is to be played on December 22.
