Branko Nisevic has left his post of sporting director at Sliema Wanderers to take over as new coach of Nadur Youngsters, the Times of Malta can reveal.
Nisevic had been handed the role at the Wanderers last December but the Serbian coach has decided to end his tenure at the Premier League club to restart his coaching career in Gozitan football.
Gozitan champions Nadur have struggled for form this season and last weekend’s 2-0 defeat to Xewkija Tigers have severely dented their hopes of retaining their title crown this season.
The defeat left the Youngsters in third place in the standings on 10 points, six adrift of leaders Għajnsielem, albeit with a game in hand.
The Youngsters were under the charge of Pasquale Centofanti who had taken over the reins of the team after his fellow compatriot Andrea Ciaramella decided to return to his homeland in December.
But it is understood that the GFA side have decided to part ways with Centofanti and bring in experienced coach Nisevic at the club.
The former Malta assistant coach is expected to put pen to paper on a deal until the end of the season.
