Jake Muscat scored a goal against European champions Ferencvaros as he was named in Jadran Herceg Novi’s side for their Champions League group match against the Hungarian giants in Budapest.
Muscat is currently on the books of the Montenegrin giants after putting pen to paper on a one-year contract late last year.
Jadran found the going tough against tournament favourites Ferencvaros who strolled to a convicing 12-5 victory.
Ferencvaros quickly took control of the match when they raced into a three-goal lead.
However, Jake Muscat managed to stop the rot when the former Neptunes players found the net with a firm shot to make it 3-1.
For Muscat this was his third appearance for Jadran in the prestigious club competition this week as he was part of Petar Radanovic’s squad in their 11-6 defeat to Brescia.
Jadran will be again in action today when they face German side WASPO98 Hannover.
