Jesmond Zerafa has returned to club football in Malta when he agreed to join Premier League side Gudja United where he will fill the role of technical director.
Zerafa started the season with Valletta FC where took the reins of the first team following the sudden departure of Giovanni Tedesco in the summer.
However, his return to his hometown club failed to reap the desired dividends as Zerafa made no secret of the fact that he wanted a number of changes in the club’s set-up.
Zerafa left Valletta in November and was replaced by Portuguese coach Jose Antonio Cardoso Mendes.
Now, Zerafa has agreed to make a return with Gudja United where he will be acting as technical director.
In his new role Zerafa will be providing assistance to first-team coach Jesmond Zammit and his assistant Vince Carbonaro as Gudja look to retain their Premier League status for another season.
