Floriana FC are trying to collect funds to help the son of their goalkeeper Ini Akpan who has been diagnosed with a heart problem.
In a statement, Floriana FC revealed that Akpan’s son Lucas, is set to travel to the UK to undergo a second open-heart surgery and have appealed to their fans and all local supporters to give their financial contribution for the cause.
“Floriana FC together with the Floriana FC Nursery, we would like to call all our supporters and our local community to show their generosity and kindness for a noble gesture and an act of solidarity towards our goalkeeper Ini Etim Akpan and his wife Danielle and help their 7 month old son Lucas.
“Lucas will undergo a second open heart surgery in the UK and any financial contribution would be much appreciated.”
