Juventus goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon announced that he will be leaving the Serie A club at the end of the season and hinted he may well prolong his playing career.
The former Italy goalkeeper’s contract with the Turin club expires at the end of the season and Buffon announced that he has decided to leave Juventus.
“My future is clear, at the end of the season I will leave Juventus for good,” the 43-year-old Buffon said.
“I will still have to make a decision on whether I will retire or find a new challenge that provides me with new stimulations.”
Buffon said that it’s time for him to end his cycle and Juventus and leave the club to move on.
“At Juventus, I have given and received a lot, but we have arrived at the end of a cycle and it’s time for me to leave.”
