Updated: Nicole Sciberras’ Juventus U-19’s advance to Serie A semi-finals after Napoli rout

Nicole Sciberras’ chances of becoming Italian champion are still alive after Juventus U-19’s comfortably dispatched of Napoli with a 13-1 aggregate win in the quarter-finals of the play-offs.

The Malta women defender was a starter in this game after last week’s cameo appearance in the first leg. Juventus saw off Napoli 7-0 after emerging winners 6-1 in the first leg.

The Bianconere are chasing their first ever Italian title in this category and will face the winner of Florentia San Gimignano in the Final Four, on May 27 at the Mapei Football Center of Sassuolo.

Florentia eliminated Hellas Verona of Malta international Kailey Willis, who was a starter for the Verona-based side, after beating them 2-1 for the second straight week.

Inter, who eliminated Lazio, are the other semi-finalists who will face defending champions Roma after the latter dumped out Sassuolo.

Sciberras has already won the Viareggio Women’s Tournament in 2020 after Juventus defeated Roma 3-2 in the final.
