Starlites BC will be looking to one-up their incredible performance last season with their new signing, US-native Jacob Bates. The club announced their new player on Sunday.
The 6’5 forward out of Centre College in Kentucky expressed his excitement on his socials as he signs his first professional contract overseas with the Naxxar club.
Bates was named Southern Athletic Association (SAC) Player of the Year in 2020 and the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC)’s Division Three All-America third team with the Centre Colonels where he played all his college years.
The new Starlites signing averaged 18.9 points per game with 7.6 rebounds in his senior year in 29 games played. With his abilities, Paul Ferrante’s clan will be looking to maintain last year’s flow after ending the prematurely ended season with a 9-0 record.
