Malta international goalkeeper Henry Bonello has recorded a positive note on a personal level ahead of the remaining two World Cup qualifiers against Croatia and Slovakia.
Bonello, currently on the books of Ħamrun Spartans, has 3 dribbles attributed to him during these European qualifications for Qatar 2022 according to WhoScored – a football website that provides detailed statistics.
This statistic puts Malta’s custodian ahead of several high-profile names such as France’s Karim Benzema, Germany trio Thomas Muller, Timo Werner and Joshua Kimmich, and Dejan Kulusevski of Sweden.
Bonello’s dribbles do not come as a surprise as he is often involved in the build-up phase which sometimes forces him to dribble past an opponent and avoid losing the ball inside his own penalty area.
The former Valletta goalkeeper has collected 31 caps so far and has been Mangia’s number one choice between the sticks since taking over.
