Nicole Sciberras was in the starting formation for Tavagnacco as they managed to hold Serie B Femminile leaders Como Women to a 0-0 draw, on Wednesday.
Sciberras returned to the starting formation after her second-half introduction in last weekend’s fixture against Cittadella.
Deployed as a right-back, Sciberras played the full game against a Como Women side who were missing fellow Maltese player Emma Lipman.
Lipman, captain of the Malta women’s national team, is currently sidelined with a minor injury which she picked up in their previous outing against Pro Sesto.
Following this game, Como are now the sole leaders of the championship with 21 points. Followed by Brescia with 20 points, Chievo Women with 19 and Pink Sport Bari with17.
Sciberras’ Tavagnacco share fifth place with next Sunday’s opponents Ravenna, as both have chalked up 16 points so far.
