Depiro BC have signed American forward Avery Sullivan, the club confirmed on Sunday.
The 22-year-old forward joins on the back of an impressive senior year at Lamar University, having averaged 9.8 points per game at 43.7% field goal percentage, and 7.2 rebounds per game throughout the 2020-21 season. He played 28 games.

Sullivan, who can play both in the power forward role as well as a centre, is the team’s second Lamar alumni, with TJ Atwood having joined last season, and re-signed by Depiro over the summer. The pair will be looking to link up in the Maltese league, after having played together in the NCAA Division One.
The signing comes as an added bonus to Depiro coach James Bamfield’s side after they had been actively on the lookout for a new big man over the Christmas break. The Mtarfa side stand at 3-4 after seven games this season and are currently fourth in the BOV National League standings behind leaders Starlites, Hibernians, and Gzira Athleta.
