Rachel Cuschieri and her Lazio women’s team succumbed to two late goals to let a crucial point slip from their hands against Inter in the women’s Serie A, on Sunday afternoon.
Lazio are currently embroiled in a relegation battle as they look to salvage their top-flight status.
Malta international player Cuschieri came into the fray midway into the second half for her 131st domestic game abroad during which she scored a staggering 63 goals.
Lazio forged ahead through Giulia Ferrandi but goals from Tatiana Bonetti, Henrietta Csiszar and another one from Bonetti wrapped up the victory for Inter.
Cuschieri’s team have three points to show so far after 13 outings and they will travel away at Milan, next weekend.
