Malta women’s international defender Emma Lipman played a part in Como Women’s first leg quarter-final of the Coppa Italia against defending champions Roma, on Saturday.
The Malta captain started the game as a substitute and was inserted into the fray on the hour mark as she was facing the team with whom she spent a season in the 2018/2019 campaign.
Como, who are the current Serie B leaders and on course for a promotion, had to succumb to a 3-0 defeat at the hands of top-flight side Roma.
The second leg of this tie will be played either on February 12 or February 13.
