Almost a month after joining Pergolettese on deadline day of the winter transfer window, Alexander Satariano has been handed his Serie C debut after coming on in the 2-1 defeat against Pro Sesto.
The Malta international was on the substitutes’ bench for this midweek game and was deployed by coach Stefano Lucchini – former Serie A player – on the 80th minute in an attempt to salvage at least a point.
Unfortunately for Satariano’s side, they could not find a leveller as they succumbed to their 13th defeat of the season.
Pergolettese have slipped into the play-out zone, in 16th place, with 28 points. They meet Fiorenzuola on Sunday, on home soil.
