ARMS Depiro have officially announced the signing of new US import player Kelly Koshuta ahead of the March window.
The former James Madison University forward joins coach Ruben Baldacchino’s side at a crucial moment of the season, with Hannah Johnson still recovering from injury and the playoffs right around the corner.
The 6’2 player Koshuta was an ESPN five-star recruit coming out of high school and was ranked 32nd in the 2015 class, also invited to try out with USA Basketball in 2013.
However, her college ball career did not last long due to personal difficulties, and she played only one full season with the JMU Dukes in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division One, after transferring from Virginia Tech in 2016, before getting dismissed from the team two games into her second season by coach at the time, Sean O’Regan.
Now back on the court, Koshuta is said to be joining a Depiro side which is returning to full strength by March, and will look to partner up with prolific young 6’1 centre Danika Galea.
