Following the official announcement of the UEFA Kit Assistance Scheme on November 5, 2021, the Malta FA on Monday revealed their all-new national team kit made by the Italian sports equipment supplier ERREA.
The customised matchday clothing and training wear will be worn for the first time by the Senior and U-21 Malta national teams during their June commitments.
The Malta FA was involved in the design process, that started back in October.
The Errea Malta 2022 football kit consists of the Home kit which is predominantly red with white stripe and white logos. The Away kit is predominantly white with a red stripe and red logos.
On the other hand, the Goalkeeper 1st Kit is blue with a white stripe and white logos while the second kit is Black with red stripes and white logo.
Besides featuring the new and embroidered eight-pointed cross that was revealed in Malta FA’s recent rebrand, the kits boast a darker textured eight-pointed cross pattern applied by means of a sublimation process.
Another innovation that features within the inner-neck part of the playing kits is the presence of a snippet from our National Anthem; ‘Lil din l-art ħelwa’, reminding anyone who wears the shirt, to wear it with pride and dignity.
The Malta senior national team are set to don the new kits on June 1 when they face Venezuela in an international friendly at the National Stadium.
