Premier League side Gzira United announced Friday the signing of Brazilian winger Marcelo Dias from Gudja United.
The side confirmed their acquisition on their socials, expressing their enthusiasm towards their first summer signing ahead of the new season, and their quest for European qualification.
Dias, 36, was on the books of Thane Micallef’s Gudja for only last season, having joined from Floriana last summer. He has also played for Senglea but his most notable presence was at Hibernians between 2014-19.
In this last season, Dias scored two goals in 22 matches and will be hoping to improve his tally under Darren Abdilla, the latter having extended his contract with the Maroons until 2024 this week.
