BOV Challenge League side Sliema Wanderers have started their process to bolster their squad in attempt to secure an immediate promotion to the top-flight.
The 26-time Malta champions have brought in 23-year-old defender Miguel D’Alessandro.
D’Alessandro, who is mainly a central defender, joins the Blues after starting his player career at Luxol St Andrews.
During the 2021/2022 season under coach Brian Said, D’Alessandro played 20 games in all competitions including three in the FA Trophy.
Meanwhile, the club has also announced that 18-year-old defender Luke Muscat has signed his first professional contract with the Wanderers.
Last month, the Times of Malta had reported that Paul Zammit should be Sliema’s next coach whereas reports from local media suggested that Alfred Zammit, former assistant coach at the club in their 2008/2009 FA Trophy success, is poised to take over as Technical Director.
Moreover, earlier this month both Sliema Wanderers and Sliema’s Aquatic Sports Club signed a brand new sponsorship deal with one of Malta’s award-winning iGaming operators, ComeOn Group.
