
Mtarfa women’s team have announced that Simon Spiteri will remain in charge of the team during the 2022/2023 season as well.
The decision was confirmed during the Annual General Meeting of the Mtarfa’s nursery ahead of the upcoming campaign.
Spiteri, a UEFA A licensed-coach, was in charge of the team during the past season which was their second at senior level.
He managed to guide Mtarfa to their first victory after beating San Ġwann 1-0. Mtarfa finished the season with four points after picking up another point in the process, once again in a match against San Ġwann (0-0).
Meanwhile, the club has started to strengthen the squad for the new season with goalkeeper Maria Abdilla joining the Mtarfa ranks.
Last season, Abdilla was on the books of Kirkop United.
