Swieqi United have announced the contract extension of experienced midfielder Shona Zammit for another two years.
Zammit, 26, joined The Owls back in the 2020/2021 season and her commanding displays had propelled her to win the MFPA Player of the Year.
The hard-working midfielder, who played also for Fgura United and Hibernians, spent one season in Italy when she played for Pink Bari during the 2019/2020 campaign. Zammit also managed to score one goal against giants Inter.
Zammit is an established player in Malta women’s national team squad with 61 games and 6 goals.
