Marsaxlokk have added experience to their squad with the return of forward Alfred Effiong on a one-year deal.
The former Malta international, now 37, will return to the club with whom he played during the 2010/2011 season.
During that season, Effiong scored 18 goals in 28 games in all competitions. He had topped the Premier League scoring charts as well before earning a big move to Valletta.
At Valletta, he won a domestic championship and a Super Cup, together with an FA Trophy that he won while donning the colours of Balzan.
Effiong played with other several clubs including St George’s, Ħamrun Spartans, Qormi, Gżira United and Sirens.
At international level, Effiong played 24 games and scored four goals.
