Maltese champions Hibernians have made major transfer coup after announcing the arrival of Maltese defender Kurt Shaw.
Shaw, 23, is considered as one of the most promising talents in the Maltese game.
The former Sliema Wanderers player will be joining an experienced defensive department which includes captain Andrei Agius.
The latter is set to play his final year of his career at Hibernians with Shaw representing his ideal understudy.
The Malta international, who collected 18 caps for his country, is currently recovering from a long-term injury which has sidelined him since February.
A product of Sliema, Shaw made 100 appearances with 8 goals for the Blues since making his Premier League debut in the 2016/2017 season.
Hibernians will be representing Malta in this season’s UEFA Champions League and will launch their European adventure with a first-round tie against Shamrock Rovers of Ireland.
Stefano Sanderra’s side have already brought in another defender in Lorenzo Fonseca, formerly of Sta Lucia following the departure of Leandro Almeida.
