Coach Gilbert Agius has named 27 players to his Malta U-21’s provisional squad as they start their preparations for this month’s friendlies against Cyprus and Montenegro.
The friendlies are scheduled on September 24 and September 26, with Agius expected to trim down his squad to 22 players the day before the first friendly.
Malta will host Cyprus in the first game at the Centenary Stadium before they take on Montenegro, also at the Centenary Stadium (both games kick-off at 7pm).
15 new faces have been introduced in this squad as the Malta U-21’s side ushers into a new cycle following the recent European qualifications.
