Teddy Teuma’s strong showing for Royal Union St Gilloise in the UEFA Europa League has caught the eye across Europe as he has been picked up by two popular football portals in their Team of the Week.
SofaScore, a livescore application, and WhoScored, a website that provides football statistics, picked the Malta international in their Best XI selections.
Read: Teuma scores for Union against Malmo in Europa League.
Teuma was instrumental for Union in their 3-2 comeback victory against Malmo to make it two wins in two matches for the Belgian side in this competition.
The Malta international assisted the first goal when his well-weighted cross was guided home by Christian Burgess, for his fourth assist of the season.
Teuma's goal was Union's momentarily 2-2 - a low drive from the edge of the area as the Maltese player has now scored 5 goals in 12 games in this campaign.
In this game, Teuma had 107 touches, 90% accurate passes, 5 key passes, 10/13 accurate long balls and 5 interceptions as Union's captain played in his usual central midfielder role in the left half-space.
