
Estonia coach Thomas Haberli has named his squad for the upcoming UEFA Nations League encounters against Malta and San Marino.
Haberli’s side are currently topping League D Group 1 with six points after two wins against San Marino and Malta in the first round, with Devis Mangia’s side also on six points but having played an extra game.
The Baltic nation will host Malta on September 23 in what could be a decisive encounter for Estonia’s hopes of a League C promotion.
Coach Haberli has selected 11 of his 25-team squad from the Estonian championship including seven from league leaders Flora Tallinn, including veteran captain Konstantin Vassiljev who scored one of Estonia’s two goals in their 2-1 victory against Malta back in June.
The scorer of the winning goal, Henri Anier, is also called up. The 31-year-old forward currently plays in Thailand at Muangthong United and forms part of the rest of the squad that is based outside Estonia.
This list also includes Arsenal’s goalkeeper Karl Jakob Hein and SPAL’s Georgi Tunjov.
