Malta Futsal Team coach Zeljko Anicic has selected 17 players for the November training camp in preparation for the Futsal National Team’s upcoming commitments.
The training camp will be held between Sunday and Wednesday of next week, and will also include two friendly matches against the Malta U-19’s Team that is also ramping up preparation ahead of Preliminary Group games in January.
They face hosts Lithuania, England, and Estonia following the draws held on Thursday at the UEFA headquarters.
The University of Malta is the team mostly represented, with six players called up to this senior squad, they are followed by Champions Luxol with five.
Other players selected are two from Swieqi, one each from Ta’ Xbiex, St George’s Futsal, and Żurrieq Futsal, all joined by the sole foreign-based player in the squad, that is Giancarlo Sammut who currently plays in Denmark.
The players selected will convene on Sunday morning at 8am at the Cottonera Sports Complex, before shifting drills to the National Sport School in Pembroke from the following day.
The friendly matches against the Malta U-19’s Team shall take place on Tuesday 8th and Wednesday 9th November.
