Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson, already unlikely to play in Sunday’s NFL playoff clash with Cincinnati, said Thursday his injured knee “remains unstable.”
Jackson posted a series of tweets on Thursday in his first comments on the injury that has kept him off the field since he departed against the Denver Broncos on December 4.
“There is still inflammation surrounding my knee and my knee remains unstable,” Jackson said, adding that the injury was a sprained posterior cruciate ligament.
“I’m still in good spirits, as I continue with treatments on the road to recovery,” Jackson wrote.
“I wish I could be out there with my guys more than anything,” he said, assuring fans he remains “hopeful we still have a chance.”
Baltimore averaged 25 points per game with Jackson at the helm this season, but in his absence their offensive output has dropped dramatically.
Backup quarterback Tyler Huntley was limited in practice on Thursday with shoulder and wrist injuries.
