
Teddy Teuma’s impressive performance for Union during Sunday’s league appointment against Royal Antwerp has earned a spot in the Belgian league’s Team of the Week powered by livescore application SofaScore.
The Malta international notched his 10th goal of the season after converting Union's second goal from the penalty spot.
Union's first goal was grabbed by forward Dante Vanzeir after being teed up by Teuma - his 12th assist in the 2022/2023 campaign.
Teuma's side stay second as they now open a six-point gap between them and Antwerp, who remain third. Genk are still leaders of the Belgian championship, seven points ahead of Union on 52.
Against Antwerp, Teuma had 74 touches in 89 minutes with a passing accuracy of 82.4%, six key passes, five interceptions and four tackles underlining his two-way playing style at the heart of the midfield.
Union's next game is on Wednesday when they travel to Cercle Brugge.
Meanwhile in Portugal, Zach Muscat came on in the second half for Farense as they defeated Benfica B 5-2 in the Portuguese second-tier.
In England, Maria Farrugia played for Durham Women in their 3-2 defeat at the hands of Sunderland Ladies in the Barclays Women's Championship while Kailey Willis made a cameo appearance for Chievo Verona in their Serie B Femminile's win over San Marino.
