Teddy Teuma’s Union had to wait until eight minutes from time to rescue a point in their 1-1 draw against Cercle Brugge in the Belgian championship, on Wednesday.
The Malta international captained the side from the start as they went one goal down just past the hour mark.
Nonetheless, Gustaf Nilsson managed to find a leveller as Union remain second on 46 points, trailing leaders Genk by nine.
Teuma’s Union will face OH Leuven in their next league game.
