Scrum-half Jamison Gibson-Park and prop Cian Healy have been ruled out of Ireland’s Six Nations match against France in Dublin at the weekend, the Irish federation announced on Monday.
Both players were late withdrawals from the Wales game on Saturday because of hamstring problems.
Tighthead prop Tadhg Furlong, who is recovering from a calf injury and did not feature in the Wales match, has also been overlooked for the game between the two top-ranked sides in the world.
Connacht scrum-half Caolin Blade, who was capped against the USA in July 2021, has been called up as a replacement for the experienced Gibson-Park while uncapped Leinster prop Michael Milne also joins the squad.
Milne was a member of the Emerging Ireland squad that competed in Bloemfontein in the autumn.
Ireland hammered Wales 34-10 in their tournament opener in Cardiff while the French squeezed home 29-24 against Italy in Rome.
