The Netherlands made amends for last week’s defeat after beating Austria 4-0 in the final game between these two teams on our shores.

On the other hand, Austria’s next major tournament will be September’s Nations League campaign.
Just like in Friday’s game, the Netherlands drew first blood through Juventus’ forward Lineth Beerensteyn as the Dutch side capitalised on an Austria mistake in the build-up.
Just before half-time, Jonker’s side doubled their lead when Lieke Martens, former Barcelona player and now at Paris Saint-Germain, beat Sassuolo’s Isabella Kresche with a well-struck freekick from outside the penalty area.
After the break, the Netherlands added two more goals through Beerensteyn and Esme Brugts.
Beerensteyn connected with a rebound following a corner-kick situation to beat substitute goalkeeper Jasmin Pal.
Then, she teed up fullback Esme Brugts with the PSV Eindhoven player firing a low drive into empty net.
