BOV Premier League side Birkirkara FC have confirmed defensive midfielder Simon Zibo for another season. They confirmed this news on Tuesday in an announcement on their social media.
The Ghanian has been one of the standout players for the Stripes as they won the FA Trophy and finished second in the Premier League behind champions Hamrun Spartans.
“Birkirkakara F.C. is delighted to announce that towering midfielder Simon Zibo has renewed his contract with the Stripes. Zibo’s immense physical presence and exceptional ability to dominate the midfield have been nothing short of instrumental in the team’s resounding success throughout the previous season,” the statement read.
25-year-old Zibo made 18 appearances last season for Birkirkara in the Premier League, scoring twice since joining in October. He also played every Birkirkara match in their successful FA Trophy run.
