Mġarr United and Birkirkara remained unbeaten after Match Day 3 of the BOV Women’s League.
Both the Greens and the Stripes secured comfortable victories over Mtarfa and Raiders Għargħur respectively.
For their league commitment, Mġarr coach Patrick Curmi handed a start to new signings Emma Zammit and Yolande Attard, Malta international Claudette Xuereb and youth player Leanne Cefai as well.
Former Hibernians player, Rodiana Borg, who returned to the game after a long absence was also included in the starting formation.
Led by coach Shawn Meilak, Mtarfa had Colombian player Lised Romero in their starting formation for the first time this season.
Mġarr scored five goals with Forward Francesca Chircop grabbed a brace to make it six goals in three games, with Yolande Attard scoring two goals as well.
Skipper Brenda Borg grabbed the other goal for the Greens.
Meanwhile, champions Birkirkara eased past Raiders with a 12-0 scoreline.
The Stripes faced their opponents in the best possible formation including forwards Raina Giusti and Christabelle Oppong who shared seven goals between them.
In fact, while Giusti scored a staggering four goals, the Canadian international scored her first goals in the Maltese league.
Wingback Alishia Sultana also recorded a hat-trick with captain Stephania Farrugia rounding up the victory.
Elsewhere, Swieqi United chalked up their second win of the season after defeating Mosta 7-0.
Youth forward Demi Magrin was deployed in the starting formation for the first time this season and justified her presence with a hat-trick.
The other goals came through Simone Buttigieg, Kayleigh Chetcuti, Shona Zammit and Emma Xuereb.
