Ħamrun Spartans have announced that Karl Micallef has signed a new three-year contract with the Premier League club.
Micallef has pledged his future with the Spartans when sealing a contract that will see him at the club until 2023-24 season.
Micallef has joined the Spartans from Pietà Hotspurs in season 2016-17 and since then he has established himself as a key player for the Reds.
In fact, the 24-year-old has established himself as one of the best right backs in the BOV Premier League and has also played as a centre back when needed.
This season Micallef has been a regular figure in Mark Buttigieg’s squad at Ħamrun Spartans as he made seven appearances for the club.
His performances has caught the eye of national coach Devis Mangia who has included Karl Micallef in the starting formation in the 3-0 win over Liechtenstein last week before making his competitive debut for his country in a 3-1 win over Andorra.
