Mellieha Libertas appointed Christos Kousidis as their new head coach for their Division One team on Monday.
The Greek coach will replace Silvia Gambino, who had to step down due to health reasons which will keep her away from the basketball court, despite not having overseen the side’s opening games.
Kousidis was previously an assistant coach under Julian Naudi at Depiro in 2019 but is said to have coached back in Greece and the club has described him in a statement as “Young but with a lot of experiences in one of the best academies in Europe like Aris Thessaloniki”.
Kousidis is set to oversee his first game as Libertas coach on Sunday December 6 as they face Depiro.
