Hibernians have brought back forward Tiago Fonseca, on a loan deal from Floriana.
The Times of Malta had reported that Paolites were in advanced talks with the Malta champions Floriana to sign Fonseca earlier on Monday.
Fonseca has struggled for form with Floriana this season, scoring just one goal in 12 appearances with the Greens and it looks like Floriana coach John Buttigieg is ready to part ways with the veteran striker.
The Greens earlier on Monday announced the signing of Dutch forward Jerome Lombe Lumu, paving the way for the exit of Fonseca.
For Fonseca this will be his second spell at the Paola club after he formed part of the club’s set up in the 2018-19 season when he helped the team to mount a serious title challenge which saw the team force a title decider against Valletta.
