Francesca Curmi is through to the quarter-finals of the ITF Monastir U-15 tournament, which is currently being played in Tunisia.
The young Maltese tennis player on Thursday brushed aside Romanian player Olga Gavrila 6-1 6-3 to book her place into the last eight of the International Tennis Federation tournament.
Her reward for her victory is a showdown against tournament top seed Risa Ushijima, of Jaan.
The 24-year-old has had an impressive run in the tournament and has yet to drop a set.
On Thursday she had the better of French player Yasmine Mansouri 6-4, 7-5
Earlier this week, Curmi reached the last 16 when she easily despatched of Belarus player Kristina Dmitruk 7-6, 6-2.
