Gżira United have announced the signing of Brazilian attacking midfielder Judivan Flor Da Silva, the Premier League club announced.
The Brazilian forward has a very eye-catching CV as during his career he was on the books of Brazilian giants Botafogo, Parana, Tombenese and Cruzeiro.
Judivaan has also represented his country at U-20 level and infact donned the Brazil shirt during the 2015 World Cup, where he played four matches and scored two goals before his participation was ended due to injury.
The transfer was made possible given the excellent relationship that exists between Gżira United president Sharlon Pace, team manager Marlon Galea and Mauro Bousquet, who is also the agent of Maroons players Gabriel Mentz and Jackson Mendoza.
“Gżira United are proud to announce that attacking midfielder Judivan Flor Da Silva signed a 2 year contract with the club,” the Premier League club said in a statement.
“The 26-year-old Brazilian played for Botafogo, Parana, Tombenese and Cruzeiro. He played for the Brazil Under 20 national team in the World Cup 2015, playing 4 matches and scoring 2 goals before an injury stopped him from playing the final.
“Gzira United FC want to thank Mr. Mauro Bousquet of Winner Mirror LDA who made this transfer possible and the player agent Mr.Bruno Bello Vincentin.
“Special thanks to FC Alverca Sad of Portugal and their Vice President Artur Moraes for hosting the player during his stay in Portugal.
“Welcome to our Club Judivan, we wish you all the best with the Maroons.”
Judivan is the second foreign player to join the Maroons in the last few weeks after earlier this week they announced they had acquired the services of Brazilian wingback Thiago Espindola.
