Former world diving champion Laura Marino was the protagonist of a ‘scary’ dive in Gozo as the French start continued to share with her thousands of followers more of her diving adventures during her short holiday in Malta.
Marino arrived in Malta a few weeks ago with a group of friends with whom she performed a number of spectacular dives from various areas around sites around Malta and Gozo.
On Wednesday, Marino published a story on her Instagram account showing her performing a very dangerous dive at Dwejra in Gozo and appealed to her followers not to try her attempt.
Marino wrote: “Okay this one was very scary ‼️ DON’T TRY THIS – WE ARE TRAINED PROFESIONNALS ‼️. I
“Wouldn’t have done this without this incredible team, supporting me and believing in me more than anyone did before … so much love and gratefulness for you all. I miss you already.”
Marino is a high-profile diving champion from France who represented her country in several high-profile competitions around the world.
Her first major appearance was at the 2015 World Aquatic Championships and a year later was selected to represent her country at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro.
Marino’s biggest achievement arrived in 2017 when partnered with Mathhieu Rosset, she won the gold medal in the team event at the World Championships held in Budapest, Hungary.
