Maltese youths Emma Ciantar Piccinino and Alexandra Gatt scored big wins with Sunderland FoL and Barking Abbey respectively, in Wednesday’s games from the National Football Youth League.
Ciantar Piccinino played full 90 minutes and scored one goal as Sunderland defeated Bolton Wanderers 10-0.
They are currently second in the North Premier Women with 19 points after playing 11 games. Wath Academy lead the standings with 25 points, but having played 13 matches.
On the other hand, Gatt also played all the game as Barking Abbey eased past USP Storm 9-0.
Gatt’s Barking Abbey are on top of the South Premier Women with 26 points, having played 10 league fixtures.
