Maria Farrugia played in Sunderland Ladies’ thrilling 2-2 draw against Sheffield United in the FA Women’s Championship.

The Malta women’s international was in the starting formation for the Lassies.

Following this draw, Sunderland remain ninth on 13 points, trailing Sunday’s opponent by just one point.

Farrugia and her Sunderland Ladies will return into action on Sunday when they face a stern test in league leaders Liverpool.
