Brandon Paiber bids farewell to Floriana ahead of Birkirkara move

Brandon Paiber has confirmed the news that he is leaving Premier League club Floriana after three-and-a-half years in a post on his social media.

The Malta international midfielder’s contract with Floriana expired at the end of the season but talks over a new contract extension failed to reap an agreement and the youngster is now set to join Birkirkara in the coming days.

“What a journey ! After 3 and a half years in this wonderful club I can say that my time is up,” Paiber wrote on his Instagram account.

“It was not my wish but certain management decisions forced me to this. I want to thank Ricardo Gaucci and Peter Agius who trusted me as a player and as a person and brought me to this club.

“From the current commission Matthew Carbone Jacques Grima and Antony Gafa, Florian and Gilu for always being in every detail in every training and match, to coach Gianluca Atzori and all his staff Darren, Carlo, Ricky, and Alessandro.

“To my teammates who without them everything we achieved and achieved personally would not have been possible, and neither more nor less to all Floriana supporters.

“Thank you for showing me your love from the first moment for always being there and being unconditional in every game and at every moment for me and for my team-mates.

“In 3 and a half years I can say that I achieved to win a BOV Premier League, an FA Trophy and managed to finish second in another Premier League, be captain and play more than 85 games,

“Thank you for everything Floriana FC.”

Paiber is the second player who will leave Floriana on a free transfer this summer. Wing back Ryan Camenzuli has also parted ways with the club and has joined Ħamrun Spartans on a five-year contract.”
