Sliema Wanderers have added another youth player to their squad after announcing the signing of 23-year-old Darren Borg.
Borg has joined the Blues on a one-year loan deal from Ħamrun Spartans. Sliema have an option of making the deal permanent at the end of the season.
The former Malta U-21’s, with whom he played one game, spent the second part of last season in the BOV Challenge where he played 10 games with Tarxien Rainbows in all competitions.
He had joined the Rainbows on loan from the Spartans during the January transfer window. Borg made his Ħamrun debut in the 2017/2018 season and went on to play 35 games.
